In March 2023, my grandfather was diagnosed with mesothelioma cancer, impacting both my personal and dance journey. Despite his health challenges, he remained a steadfast supporter, even watching my performances from the ICU. Inspired by his resilience and the countless families affected by this disease, I launched the first Dance for Hope Camp on August 6th, 2023.
Just two weeks later, my grandfather lost his battle to cancer, intensifying my commitment to the cause. As we approach the second annual Dance for Hope Camp, I invite you to join this meaningful endeavor. Beyond dance, it serves as a fundraising platform for the fight against cancer. Your participation will not only enrich the dance community but also contribute to the ongoing battle against a disease that affects so many lives.
Our vision is to create a world where the burden of cancer is lessened even by 1 percent. We want to make a difference through uniting in dance.
Combining what I love with a meaningful cause is very important. Each year, we hope to make a financial impact in people's lives. Our proceeds go towards this donation as well as other donations from raffles and the ribbon walk.
